What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a core-based strength and conditioning program that combines Olympic weight lifting, gymnastics, power lifting and body weight movements. It is THE sport of fitness with the intent of creating the most well rounded athletes prepared for any task. Just like any other sport, movements are drilled to perfection and practices are grueling and intense. At CrossFit Dieppe, our members are shown to successfully perform diverse and randomized physical challenges. CrossFit is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect program for any committed individual, regardless of their athletic experience or ability. CrossFit is a result-driven program based on maximizing power output. Workouts are completed for time, max number of rounds, or max weight, so no matter the task at hand, you shouldn’t have anything left in the tank. The body responds best when we challenge it with new demands, so our coaches design each session to push your limits, move faster and lift heavier in order to achieve maximum results.

CFD Classes

Introduction to CrossFit for Beginners (aka, On-ramp)

We believe CrossFit is for everyone, but to be successful at CrossFit, you’ll need to learn and master the fundamental movements which include varieties of the Squat, Press and Deadlift, in addition to other important movements.  Our Intro course sessions are the first step towards becoming a CrossFitter and during this 5-week course, you’ll learn the primary CrossFit movements in a safe and private atmosphere. Small group sizes ensure our coaches can deliver a high level of personal instruction as you learn and practice proper form and technique. By the time you’re done, you’ll be familiar with the intensity of CrossFit, comfortable performing the primary CrossFit movements, and ready for what lies ahead in a typical class. Workout of the Day (WOD)

Our classes are offered 15 times a day, 5 days a week so no matter what your schedule, you can stick to your training program. We have a group workout on Saturday mornings and an Open Gym session on Sundays.  Classes are structured and led by a qualified Trainer and consist of an active group warm-up, group skill and/or strength work, and a workout to develop conditioning – all done within 30 minutes.  Workouts are scaled and personalized for each person so that even when the whole class is challenged with the same task, the workload and movements can be adapted for people of different abilities. At CrossFit Dieppe, we do not sacrifice intensity for safety – we strive to achieve both.  At CFD, you also always have the option of our Open Gym area to work on your own programming, do a workout you missed, work on skillz, etc.

Strength and Specialty sessions

We offer various sessions and classes for additional Strength work and Specialty areas, such as Strongman, Power Lifting, Olympic Lifting, Gymnastics, Mobility and much more!  Our qualified Trainers will lead you through a targeted warm up to prepare the body and optimize lifting mechanics.
